You feel it, don’t you?
As someone who works in education, change, or systems work, you must feel it…
The pressure from all sides. Polarity, underfunding, the rise of AI, mental health crises, cancel culture, students struggling in ways you’ve never seen. The systems you work within still operating like problems are simple and that fighting harder will fix everything. But you know that will only accelerate problems.
You’re trying to prepare students for a world that looks nothing like the one you were trained to teach for. And here’s the thing—you’re also trying to figure out how to navigate that world yourself. How to understand the complexity you’re supposed to be teaching within and about. How to contribute to systems change, not just in your classroom, but in the education systems and beyond. How to even survive and thrive in a role that you know deeply matters, but also keeps demanding more.
And you’re doing it alone. Or at least, it might feel that way.
There has to be a better way. What if there is?
What is it?
What if you had a place purpose built for you?
Where you could connect with educators around the world who get it—who understand the weight you’re carrying and the complexity you’re navigating. Where you could learn from people who are also doing this work, share what’s working in your context, and access the tools and frameworks you need to teach for these times.
Not another professional development requirement. Not another thing on your to-do list. A community, building a movement. A place where educators are becoming the agents of change these times demand—together.
That’s what Systems. Change. Educators. Unite. is.
We’re building a global community for educators and systems change practitioners who are ready to move beyond linear thinking and competitive frameworks. Who understand that the crises we’re facing aren’t simple problems to solve—they’re symptoms of deeper system dynamics. We are uniting educators who are ready to learn how to contribute to shifting those systems, in their classrooms and far beyond.
And we’re starting with a 6-month pilot—a taste test of something that could become much bigger.
If there’s enough demand and interest in these first six months, we’ll launch this as a full non-profit and scale it globally. But right now? We’re inviting a founding cohort to help us build it, shape it, and prove that educators need and want this kind of community.
This isn’t about adding more to your plate. It’s about finally having the support, tools, and community to do the work you’re already trying to do—but more easily, and not alone.
What You Get
Here’s what the founding members will experience over 6 months:
Three calls every month, designed to fit into your life:
- A drop-in peer mastermind session – Bring what’s going on for you. No prep required. Just show up, share your challenges, and think through them with peers who get it.
- A facilitated conversation on a timely topic – Things like “teaching in an AI world” or “navigating polarity in the classroom.” No prep, just show up and engage with what matters right now. (These are recorded in case you can’t join live but want to watch it later.)
- 1-2 presentations each month from practitioners doing this work – These too will be recorded so you can watch on your own time. Learn directly from educators bringing systems thinking into their classrooms, organizations, and communities.
Here’s just a taste of what’s coming:
- Tracy Benson, former Director of the Waters Center for Systems Thinking, will show you how she brings systems thinking practices to everyone from kindergartners to corporate executives
- Nicole Swedlow will share how to use the Sustainability Compass as a systems thinking tool that frames social impact through sustainability
- Paul Heidebrecht will share how he and his team at the University of Waterloo integrate government understanding into systems change work—helping social innovators work with and through government, not around it
- Daniela Papi-Thornton will lead a workshop on tools for complex times, presenting frameworks that help you navigate and understand the complexity of the current moment
You’ll also have access to:
A repository for all the content, resources, and tools – Access recordings, frameworks, lesson plans, and case studies. Share your own. Build on each other’s work. Everything will be hosted in one place for easy access.
A global chat community – Connect with fellow members between calls through an online messaging group. Quick questions, resource shares, support when you need it.
A truly global community – This isn’t US-centric or limited by geography. Connect with educators from around the world who are navigating similar challenges in vastly different contexts.
Who This Is For
This community is for you if:
You’re an educator in any form—classroom teacher, university lecturer, corporate trainer, consultant, facilitator, or coach—and you’re grappling with how to teach for complexity in a world that’s changing faster than our education systems can keep up.
Maybe you already teach systems thinking or social change work, and you’re looking for peers who speak your language. Or maybe you’re just starting to realize that linear approaches aren’t cutting it anymore, and you need tools and frameworks to navigate this shift.
You might be feeling the weight of preparing students (or clients, or teams) for a future you’re still trying to understand yourself. You might be exhausted from going it alone. You might be ready to challenge the siloed, competitive systems you work within—but you’re not sure where to start.
Here’s what we know: the problem feels too big. You don’t have much time. And you need support, not more overwhelm.
That’s exactly why this community exists. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to be ready to learn, share, and contribute—alongside others who are doing the same.
The Founding Member Opportunity
Here’s what makes this moment unique:
This is a 6-month pilot. A taste test. If we get enough founding members who believe in this vision, we’ll have what we need to build it properly, test what works, and then launch as a full non-profit that can serve educators globally for years to come.
You’re not just joining a membership. You’re helping design and build the future of systems change education.
As a founding member, you’ll:
- Shape what this community becomes through your participation and feedback
- Get locked-in founding member benefits for life (exact details to be confirmed, but think significant discounts and exclusive content as long as you remain a member)
- Be part of the cohort that proves educators need and want this kind of support
- Help us figure out what works, what matters, and what this community needs to thrive
This is your chance to be at the beginning of something that could reshape how educators learn, connect, and contribute to the systems change the education systems and educators themselves are calling in worldwide.

Join Us
The world needs educators who understand complexity. And educators need each other.
We’re launching the Educator Community at our gathering in Iowa this November, and we’re inviting you to be part of the founding cohort—the educators who will shape what this community becomes.
This is your chance to stop going it alone. To find your people. To get the tools, frameworks, and support you need to become the educator these times demand.
And to help build something that could serve thousands of educators around the world.
If enough of us say yes to these first 6 months, we’ll prove there’s demand for this work. We’ll build the non-profit. We’ll scale it. And you’ll have been there from the beginning.
The systems we work within haven’t caught up to the complexity we’re facing. But together? We can change that.
